LIFT Intern Program – Spring 2026

CBE’s Launch Incubator For Traction (CBE LIFT) is a competency-based experiential program to increase investor readiness. The program is aligned with the City of Atlanta’s drive to move into the Top 5 metro hub for tech entrepreneurship. The program is aligned with the City of Atlanta’s drive to move into the Top 5 metro hub for tech entrepreneurship. 

The LIFT Intern Program connects Spelman College, Morehouse College, and Clark Atlanta University students with innovative underinvested STEM ventures in the Atlanta ecosystem. Through this 10-week, paid internship program, students gain valuable hands-on experience working directly with founders while supporting the growth of high-potential companies.

Interns receive a $1,500 stipend for their participation.

Program Timeline

  • Applications Open: October 4, 2025
  • Intern Mixer: October 21, 2025 – Meet the ventures on campus and learn more about internship opportunities. Sign up today!
  • Applications Close: October 31, 2025
  • Interviews: November 6–7, 2025 (virtual)
  • Final Decisions Released: November 19, 2025
  • Program Dates: January 27 – April 10, 2026 (Spring Break observed, no work during holidays)

Internship Details

  • Each intern will work directly with a LIFT venture for 10 weeks
  • Ventures will set specific roles, projects, and expectations for interns
  • Ventures may have up to 2 interns maximum (not all ventures are guaranteed an intern)
  • Interns must commit to the full internship period and requirements
  • Interns will gain real-world skills in areas such as entrepreneurship, STEM innovation, business development, and operations

Program Requirements for Students

  • Attend the Virtual Internship Kick-Off and one additional program-wide call with CBE staff during the program
  • Complete a Midpoint Survey during the program
  • Submit a Final Evaluation Form (required for final stipend payment)
  • Work closely with assigned venture to complete agreed-upon projects and responsibilities
