About

The Center for Black Entrepreneurship (CBE) seeks to increase access for Black entrepreneurs to investors and business builders through education, mentorship, and access to capital. CBE’s Launch Incubator For Traction (CBE LIFT) is a competency-based experiential program to increase investor readiness. The program is aligned with the City of Atlanta’s drive to move into the Top 5 metro hub for tech entrepreneurship.

Target Applicants

Target applicants are underrepresented tech founders in the Atlanta metropolitan area.  Applications from companies with innovation in life sciences, artificial intelligence and machine learning are particularly encouraged to apply.

Program Partners

The LIFT program will bring together multiple stakeholders including the Center for Black Entrepreneurship, Invest Atlanta, TiE Atlanta, the Daraja Collective, and Georgia Tech.

Acknowledgments

The program is funded by a grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) is no cost to participants.

Lift Program Pillars

  • Capacity Building through a core curriculum for skills and competency building for early to mid-stage tech entrepreneurs with a focus on curricular elements particularly relevant to Black founders.
  • Robust Network Development of coaches and mentors, resources, and subject matter experts.
  • Access to Capital through our relationships with capital sources particularly those targeting Black entrepreneurs in the Atlanta area.

CBE LIFT Program
